IF YOU CAN BELIEVE

Mark 9:23 Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."

                         

In the journey of perfecting God’s will in your life as a believer, your FAITH is required.

Father Abraham, today well known as a Righteous Man before God, perfected his Righteousness not because he successfully kept the 10 commandments as the law required before you can be accredited as been RIGHTEOUS.

In one scenario we saw Abraham calling his wife his sister, in another scenario we saw Him together with Haggai his housemaid, He did some things which he ought not to do, things happened that God personally came and called him unto repentance (Gen. 17:1 …the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou PERFECT.)

We too like faithful sons and daughters of Abraham, God is personally calling us all to walk before Him and be PERFECT (Mat. 5:48, 1 Peter 1:15-16)

Abraham won the price of Righteousness and was declared RIGHTEOUS because he believed God (Gen. 15:6, Gal. 3:6, Rom. 4:3, Jas. 2:23, Rom. 4:20-22).

  • When Jesus want to heal the blind man in Matthew 9:28, Jesus asked him: Do you believe…?
  • When Jesus want to heal the lad that was suffering from epilepsy Mark 9:23, Jesus said to him: If you can believe…
  • Even in the case of raising Lazarus back to life, John 11:26, Jesus asked Martha: Do you believe?

Now here is the two questions I want to ask:

1.     WHAT IF THESE PEOPLE DID NOT BELIEVE?

2.     DO WE BELIEVE IN THAT OUR PRAYERS WILL BE ANSWER?

CONCLUSION: Mark 9:23 … all things are possible to him who believes." Most of us capitalized in praying over and over WITHOUT Putting Our Faith To Work and later we mistakenly conclude “is like this prayer of a thing is not working”

James 1:6-8, anyone who pray and is doubting cannot receive anything from God.

Sometimes you need to stop worrying and work of your faith, knowing fully well that it is your faith that link you together with what you are requesting for.

It is my sincere prayer that YOU will grow exceedingly in FAITH and be able to stand till the end in Jesus Name…Amen.
